Reporting to the Quality Assurance Validation Manager, work closely with firmware, hardware, application and ASIC teams in an Agile Scrum environment. Responsible for characterization, verification and validation testing of UWB products in various embedded systems such as mice, headsets, speakers and IoT.

Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Develop test cases, write test plans, execute and generate detailed test reports;
  • Perform various manual and automated tests such as functional, regression, robustness, interference and environmental;
  • Report and document non-conformances, follow up and participate in their resolution in support of the teams involved;
  • Use appropriate test equipment and procedures to verify and resolve electrical, mechanical or firmware issues;
  • Define, set up and maintain various test environments for different tests;
  • Participate in the implementation of automated test procedures written in Python;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the verification and validation process as an integral part of product and project development;
  • Assist in the execution of testing and packaging of products that are to be shipped to external customers;
  • Any other relevant task.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or DEC in Electrical Engineering or related field;
  • 5+ years of work experience as a wireless systems test specialist;
  • Experience in creating and executing tests for embedded systems;
  • Experience with a laboratory test environment using oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, antennas, modulators, etc;
  • Autonomy and good judgment in analyzing the performance of products and projects to be delivered to customers;
  • Attention to detail and well-accepted standards when writing documentation, and for formal internal and external communications;
  • Ability to work and learn in a dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement;
  • Excellent time management skills and self-direction;
  • Experience in certification testing to regulatory standards, such as FCC, ISED, RED, UKCA, ARIB, etc;
  • Knowledge and experience in the RF domain (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc);
  • Experience with ASIC characterization tests;
  • Experience in test management throughout the product development life cycle;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in French and English;
  • Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
