Our client is one of the largest consulting engineering firms in Canada. They are looking for an Electrical Engineer – Grounding Studies for their team.

Job description

Under the project manager, the Electrical Engineer – Grounding studies will have to ensure that the members of the work team have a good vision of the priorities. As the team is in development, the candidate will also be called upon to participate in market development initiatives.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Participate in carrying out studies in permanent and transient conditions on the behavior of electrical networks
  • Use simulation software such as CDEGS, ETAP, EASY POWER and others…
  • Participate in proposing solutions to meet the connection requirements of new sources and to improve the stability and reliability of electrical networks
  • Participate in the design of solar, wind, utility, industrial or mining installations
  • Participate in problem solving and finding solutions for various clients

Qualifications

  • University Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Member of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or other accredited Professional Engineering Association in Canada
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience in the field of electrical network studies
  • Fluency in French both orally and in writing
  • Fluency in English is an asset
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness
  • SES accreditation an asset
  • Ability to travel as required (an asset)
