Job description

As Director of Sales and Marketing, you will play an essential role in the growth of the distribution network and customer-users by establishing solid relationships with major customers or customers with strong development potential.

Internally, you will have to work closely with customer service/internal sales, with marketing and with operations.

You will also be responsible for providing technical support for customers and internal departments, including the development of training materials, and the development of sales and marketing strategies.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Responsible for main accounts in Canada and the United States

• Identify and develop opportunities in different markets with existing or potential customers

• Develop and maintain personalized business relationships including, if necessary, physical presence with customers

• Strong understanding of technical aspects of products and applications

• Support the management team in the development of strategic business plans, identify opportunities for expansion into new territories, markets or products, optimize the distribution network, implement sales strategies to achieve growth sales, marketing initiatives, conduct market research to identify the best prices and the best business opportunities.

• All other related tasks.

Qualifications

• Understanding of business development processes with “niche” products

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales and in a management position • Excellent command of English and French (oral and written)

• Skillful with both distributors and customer-users • Ease with IT tools (ERP, WEB, all common means of communication, etc.)

• Naturally comfortable with the company culture and its approach to sales and marketing

• Strong leadership and business acumen • Previous experience in the field of paper, cardboard, packaging

• Ability to travel to Canada and the USA as needed (passport required)

• Superior communication, customer service, sales and negotiation skills

• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships

• Variable base salary depending on experience: $110,000 - $130,000 base / $130,000 to $150,000 package depending on experience
