As a Project Engineer, you will be assigned to manage various technical projects. You will have to manage the technological transfers of the European headquarters to adapt the products to the needs of the North American market.

Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Manage product customization projects as well as continuous improvement management;
  • Participate in the design of new products, on a global scale;
  • Manage the life cycle of the different products;
  • Improve the design of the electromechanical systems of the products and their options in order to make them more efficient products;
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and production department to optimize the supply chain;
  • Establish bills of material (B.O.M.) and product structure to optimize production according to LEAN concepts and integrate them into the ERP system;
  • Supervise performance tests of the designed improvements as well as the manufacture and assembly of prototypes;
  • Act as a resource person for manufacturing, sales and after-sales service;
  • Lead the qualification of products according to the standards of the specifications;
  • Manage interaction with certification bodies in order to obtain UL (United Laboratories) and CSA (Canadian standard association) or other certifications.
  • Contribute to technology watch and participate in trade fairs in the United States as needed.

Qualifications


  • Completed university degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering 
  • Relevant experience related to the position;
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Experience in electromechanical systems design (Asset);
  • Experience in the manufacturing field (Asset);
  • Experience with an ERP system (Asset);
  • Knowledge of Catia V5 and/or SolidWorks (Asset);
  • Proficiency in French and English.
