Job description


As a member of the hardware design team, you will design, develop, integrate and validate FPGA designs for the company’s products.

Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Define FPGA architectures.
  • Design, implement and simulate FPGA code.
  • Validate and debug designs using appropriate tools.
  • Produce documentation for all designs.
  • Participate in the definition of the hardware architectures.
  • Provide technical support on existing products.
  • Perform a technological monitoring on tools required in this area.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FPGA design
  • Excellent knowledge of VHDL language and simulation tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in French and advanced functional English
  • Proven aptitude to work in a cross functional development team

 

Other skills that will be considered as assets :

  • Experience with simulation and writing testbenches
  • Good knowledge of the different communication interfaces such as: Gigabit Transceivers, Ethernet, PCI Express interfaces, serdes etc.
  • Good knowledge of memory interfaces (DDR)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (such as Python)
  • Familiarity with software revision control (e.g. Subversion)
