They are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to fill a key position in the organization.

Job description

The Continuous Improvement Manager will have to set up the structure and initiatives for continuous improvement of all processes linked to the strategic objectives of the company (roadmap which includes events, 5S, Savings and Kaizen). He will work closely with regional management, the local management team and operational management.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Lean projects with a focus on improving safety, service, quality, productivity and flow.
  • Using the methodologies chosen by the company, identify, recommend and implement projects and actions to eliminate waste or losses in manufacturing.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Lean Systems (DPM) to drive cultural transformation - Lean behaviors.
  • Serve as a full partner to the business in assessing and challenging the status quo to identify opportunities for value.
  • Provide Lean/CI Six Sigma expertise to the organization and support the continued development of the values and principles necessary to achieve cultural change and transformation.
  • Assist the Director in developing manuals, training materials and support systems.
  • Monthly reports on Lean roadmap progress, savings and insights - engagement.
  • Develop and certify factory Lean practitioners in basic Lean tools.
  • Regularly coach functional managers, supervisors and Lean practitioners.
  • Attend staff meetings and best practice meetings to report on KPIs, successes and engagement status.

Qualifications

  • University diploma; Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Administration
  • Experience in process improvement in an industrial environment with a focus on Lean implementation
  • Experience leading Kaizen events
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and tools
  • Lean Six Sigma understanding and expertise
  • Experience with operational efficiency
  • Affinity with working in an international context
  • Speak French and English. Spanish an asset.
