Reporting to the Manager, Electronic Design, the individual will be a key player in supporting the R&D and production teams. The Configuration and Component Specialist will analyze and participate in the continuous improvement of the system as well as the development of new procedures and controls.

Tasks and Responsibilities


  • Manages and implements engineering changes (ECOs) to our products and documentation with consideration of production impacts.
  • Ensures all changes are completed accurately and efficiently through appropriate approvals and notifications.
  • Works with internal customers by providing information based on configuration management principles.
  • Creates symbols and footprints for electronic components.
  • Supports the R&D and production department in the electronic components section.
  • Ensures consistency of component parameters in the central library.
  • Creates items and BOM in the central database.
  • Distributes appropriate documentation to subcontractors.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of the system as well as in the development of new procedures and controls.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of material change and inventory management.
  • College degree in electronics or any other relevant field
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and ensures accuracy and consistency of documentation and data. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. 
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an asset). 
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines. 
  • Works independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced environment. 

Work conditions


  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Flexible schedule of 37.5 hours per week
