Job description

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for generating sales from new customers and increasing annual revenues from existing customers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with potential clients, qualify and actively list new business clients.
  • Familiarize yourself with our core product presentation, while handing off sales opportunities for managed services solutions to the Managed Services team.
  • Track all activity and results in the CRM software by producing daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly analysis reports for submission to management.
  • Successfully complete all required sales, product and process training sessions.
  • Perform all other related tasks assigned by sales management.


  • Sales, business or other related educational background
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales position
  • Bilingual - fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with JIRA, Deskpro and SAP systems, an asset
  • Knowledge of telephony and IP television services (VOIP and IPTV) and Internet services
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with good judgment in assessing critical situations
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of professionalism

Work conditions

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Hybrid role (access to telecommuting after training)
  • Base salary between $60,000 and $85,000 depending on experience + attractive commission program
  • Vacation + 5 personal days
