The Animation Technical Director is mainly responsible for developing frontend tools for the animation department, taking into account the prerequisites and deadlines defined by the Animation Supervisor. Working under the supervision of the Animation Supervisor and in collaboration with the R&D Director, the TD must have solid skills in software development, an ability to program robust, efficient and easy to maintain tools.

MANAGEMENT:
- Define the needs with the Animation Supervisor;
- Validate the work with the R&D Director;
- Perform the corrections requested by the R&D Director using analytical skills;
DEVELOPMENT:
- Develop working methods, tools and solutions related to the Animation department;
=Develop, maintain and support the tools of the Animation pipeline (front-end);
- Document tools and code;
Provide technical support and training to artists for these tools;
Inform the coordination, the Animation supervisor and the R&D Director of the progress of the work

- Hold a degree in computer science or 3D animation or the equivalent in work experience;
- Have at least four (4) years of experience in a production environment;
- Have an understanding of technologies and production processes;
- Ability to identify and solve problems;
- Mastery of Maya required Technical and artistic knowledge in 3D animation is an asset;
- Skills in Python and PySide;
- Knowledge of English and French both orally and in writing

- 40 hours per week
- Salaire entre 75 000$ à 90 000$ selon l’expérience
